The Finland Immigration Office revised its policies on claims for asylum made by Afghans in December 2022. Every Afghan girl and woman is given refugee status.
According to country data, the status of women in Afghanistan has dramatically declined since the Taliban seized power and will likely continue to decline through late 2022. Their freedoms and rights have been severely curtailed.

The decision-making process used by the Finnish Immigration Service is consistent with the report issued by the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) on January 25, 2023.
