Brazil established the granting of a temporary visa and residence permit for the purpose of humanitarian reception for Afghan nationals, stateless persons, and people affected by a situation of serious or impending institutional instability, serious human rights violation, or international humanitarian law in Afghanistan through interministerial decree number 24, dated September 3, 2021.
This visa can currently be obtained via the Brazilian embassies in Moscow, Tehran, Abu Dhabi, Ankara, Doha, and Islamabad.
It should be underlined that persons for whom the visa is intended are actually in danger as a result of recent political developments in Afghanistan.
Those who wish to apply for a visa in Tehran should visit the Embassy (by appointment only) with the required paperwork:
- valid travel documents
- complete visa application form
- ticket reservation and hotel booking
- certificate of criminal record in a residential country
- 3*4 passport size photo
All the above documents needs to submitted digitally in PDF format.
The applicant must submit an email to vistos.teera@itamaraty.gov.br with the subject APPOINTMENT and his full name in order to make an appointment.
